Is the Lifetime Trade-Up really free?
Yes. Every set we install includes it at no extra cost. The 1-Year Protection add-on is optional and simply doubles your credit.
What does "lifetime" mean?
It covers the life of your ownership of the unit, for as long as Longhorn is operating. It's a loyalty credit toward your next set — non-transferable to other people or addresses.
What's the difference between the trade-up and the warranty?
The trade-up helps you replace the unit at the end of its life. The 1-Year Protection covers repairs in the first 12 months. Different jobs — they stack.
Do I have to use Longhorn install to be covered?
Yes. Both programs require our $150 installation. Self-pickup and third-party installs are sold as-is with a liability release.
What voids coverage?
Misuse, abuse, neglect, improper hookups not done by us, relocation outside our service area, commercial/rental overuse, or unauthorized third-party repairs.
How do I make a claim?

1-Year Longhorn Protection Plan
The 1-Year Longhorn Protection Plan ($149) is an optional, repair-only service contract covering 12 months from the installation date. It requires professional installation by Longhorn Washer and Dryer; coverage is void without our installation. It covers mechanical and electrical failures under normal residential use, including parts, labor, and the service visit. Aggregate repair cost is capped at the unit's original purchase price; if covered repairs would exceed that, Longhorn may, at its discretion, replace the unit (applying the Lifetime Trade-Up credit) in lieu of further repair. Exclusions: cosmetic damage; misuse, abuse, or neglect; customer-caused damage; improper power, water, drainage, or venting not installed by us; relocation; commercial or rental use; consumables; acts of God; and pre-existing customer-side installation issues. Lifetime Trade-Up
Every washer, dryer, or set purchased from and installed by Longhorn includes a Lifetime Trade-Up: a discretionary loyalty credit ($75 standard, or $150 with the 1-Year Protection Plan) toward a replacement refurbished unit or set of equal or greater value purchased from and installed by Longhorn. We haul away the replaced unit at no charge. The credit is for the original purchaser only, while the unit remains in our service area; it is non-transferable, not redeemable for cash, not combinable with other discounts, and limited to one active credit per unit. "Lifetime" means the life of the original customer's ownership of the unit, for as long as Longhorn is operating. Void if the unit is relocated outside our service area; damaged by misuse, abuse, neglect, improper power/water/venting, or unauthorized third-party repair; used in a commercial or rental setting beyond normal residential wear; or the original installation guarantee terms are breached.

Installation fees and the 1-Year Protection Plan fee are charges for services and coverage, not returnable goods, and are non-refundable.
